Contributing to Good Government
Public Policy has long been a pillar of Georgia Family Council. For years we have worked to ensure that laws passed by the Georgia General Assembly are good for – at least not harmful to – the families in our state.
GFC's Center for Policy Studies (CPS) has assembled a team of policy experts and scholars who understand how to bring about positive change for the families of Georgia. CPS enjoys a unique "reach" as it works with all three branches of state government: executive, legislative and judicial, with a firm commitment to transcend partisanship.
Carrying on the GFC Legacy
The Center for Policy Studies continues the legacy of highly respected policy work performed by Georgia Family Council over the years. CPS has established itself as a trusted and reliable source of innovative, family-friendly public policy ideas for lawmakers, government agency leaders and the public.
The work of the Center for Policy Studies includes:
* Educating state legislators and government agency leaders about the proper role of government in fostering a healthy society, including the need to respect the primary role played by individuals, families and civic organizations
* Publishing studies and commentaries that inform state leaders at all levels about specific public policies that contribute to healthy families
* Informing and influencing public opinion on family issues by publishing editorials, offering media commentary and speaking to community organizations throughout the state
