The Center for an Educated Georgia (CEG) works to ensure that the best educational opportunities exist for all Georgia students. We realize that keeping kids in school and ensuring that they are receiving an education that best fits their unique educational needs is essential to their future success, their family’s future success, and the good of society as a whole.

Education impacts work and family

Research shows that a key to a healthy, productive life is academic achievement because a quality education is the gateway to economic and social opportunity. Academic achievement is also a key milestone to indicate one’s suitability for marriage, as most single people are looking for someone who can provide economic and social stability. With such a strong connection between education, poverty, marriage and a successful future, CEG’s focus is to help families get the best education possible for their children.

Some of the activities of our Center for an Educated Georgia include:

* Working with public, private, and home-based schools to understand and address the greatest needs in educating Georgia’s children

* Creating the state’s first interactive education website (www.educatedgeorgia.org) designed to promote the concepts of education reform and choice while connecting parents with the many public and private educational options already available for their children

* Promoting the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship and Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship programs via the CEG website, paid advertising, parent forums and public speeches

* Conducting original research that separates fact from fiction when it comes to education spending, student achievement, and the need for reform and greater educational choice
